Destinations Updates

There’s so much happening at Destinations, HJC!

Relay: Congratulations to all students who participated in the long distance relay this past Tuesday!  Short distance relay is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 2nd.

Friday, April 28th: The health unit will be visiting on Friday for immunizations.  Also, any students who ordered pitas in support of the kindergarten playground will be receiving their pitas at lunch time on Friday.

Spring Book Fair: The book fair is running at HJC April 28th-May 4th, 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The fair will also be open on Monday evening during the celebration of literacy and arts (6:00 – 7:30 p.m.).

Monday, May 1st: There will be a celebration of literacy and arts at HJC on Monday evening, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Students in the Destinations Band are asked to arrive at 6:00 p.m. and go to the music room to start warming up and tuning their instruments.  The band is scheduled to perform at 6:30 p.m., and we will be wearing red and black (just like we did at Band Fest).  Families who have not yet confirmed whether their child will be present to perform with the band that evening are asked to send a message to Ms. Claxton as soon as possible.

Hoops for Heart: Recently, donation envelops were sent home for Hoops for Heart.  We appreciate all donations that can be gathered for this worthy cause.  Donations will be accepted up until Monday, May 15th and all students will be participating in a basketball event on May 16th as part of the Hoops for Heart initiative.
