  • Making a Difference! (5/18/2018)

On Wednesday, May 16th our grade 7 classes travelled to Gleaners Food Bank to help plant their garden. The food bank’s organic garden provides fresh vegetables for many families each year. The students prepared beds, worked in compost, planted seeds, and learned about several plants that can help us protect bee and monarch butterfly populations. Before we left, we also gave Gleaners the kindness rocks that we decorated a few weeks ago. What a great way to have a positive impact on our community!

  • Sweet Success! (5/4/2018)

A big thank you to our Destinations Mentors Team who organized this week’s candy fundraiser!  Students tested their probability skills as they tried to guess the number of candies in the jar. Donations for each guess raised a total of $74 dollars to go towards supporting the Canadian Cancer Society.  Thank you to everyone who supported this event!

  • Im-PAW-sible Breakouts Make it Big! (4/23/2018)

Thank to everyone who helped make our breakout rooms run so well!  The day ran very smoothly, and we received many compliments about the room designs.  It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves!

The day was a success in many ways.  Not only did we have lots of people enjoying the rooms, we also collected an impressive amount in donations.  After covering the expenses, we made just over $1000 in profit that will go to the Quinte Humane Society.  Congratulations grade 7s.  You really are making a difference!
