So Many Updates!

It is only October, but there is already so much happening in our school!  First, a congratulations to all students on our HJC intermediate soccer teams.  You represented our school very well at Melrose Fields yesterday.  A special congratulations goes out to the teams that will be continuing on to District.

Congratulations also go out to our cross country runners who represented our school today.  We are so proud of all your hard work!

Next, Centennial Secondary School would like us to remind grade 8 students that applications for their arts program are due on December 9th, 2016 at 3 p.m. Students who are interested in finding out more about the arts program can visit this link.

This month we are collecting empty water bottles for Gleaner’s Food Bank.  They use the bottles to divide up bulk shampoo or other liquids.  The bottles should be in good condition and should have the labels removed.  If you have bottles to donate, please add them to the blue bin outside of Ms. S-P’s room.

Immunization forms went home yesterday.  Families are asked to complete the forms and return them to the school.  Immunizations are scheduled to take place on the morning of October 18th.  The Health Unit will be picking up all of the forms a few days before the immunizations are scheduled to take place.

Finally, a big thank you to all of the students who have already been collecting magazine orders.  Your efforts will help us raise money to support the learning in our school.  Our fundraising campaign continues until Wednesday, October 12th.  Please remember that orders can be placed online, and that renewing magazine subscriptions can also raise money for our school.  Every little bit helps.  Thank you so much for your support!
