Updates from Destinations

So much has been happening, and so much is yet to come!

Last week we got to watch the MSS production of Rock of Ages.  What a great show!  Students also recently participated in ASG Track and Field.  Congratulations to all of our athletes!

On Thursday of this week, our top athletes from ASG track and field will progress on to District Track and Field.  Good luck!

We are also starting into our plans for our annual Destinations Arts Night.  Please mark Thursday, June 22nd on your calendar.  The performance will start at 6:30 p.m., but performers are asked to arrive at 6:00 p.m. We are also hosting a short orientation for new students that evening, so some volunteers may be asked to arrive at 5:30 p.m. to assist with the orientation.

For those students graduating, you are likely already aware that graduation will be taking place at Centennial Secondary School in the auditorium starting at 5:30 p.m.  Graduating students are asked to arrive between 4:45 and 5:00 p.m. and go to the cafeteria to begin lining up in alphabetical order.  Following the graduation ceremony there will be a bus to transport students over to the dance at HJC.  The dance will run from 7-9 p.m., and families are asked to arrange pick up plans in advance.  Families are also asked to send in $10 to cover the cost of food served at the dance.  Options for various dietary needs will be available; please notify the school as soon as possible regarding dietary needs.

Finally, Ms. Claxton is looking for a few grade 7 volunteers (and a parent as well if possible) to assist with handing out programs and collecting tickets at graduation.  Please let her know if you are interested.
